Marlen

Karletidou

A 1985 graduate of the Athens School of Fine Art where her instructors were D. Mytaras and P. Tetsis, Marlen Karletidou’s artworks express her preoccupation with man’s relationship to his environment. By adopting a distinctive, documented form of expression, identifiable through the basic geometric layout, the artist creates volume and, with the minimal use and juxtaposition of block colours, modest monochromatic spaces.
