armarolla Magazine Presentation / Who Is Who

armarolla is a new international literary and art magazine. It attempts to showcase and promote artists originating from the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions or international artists whose work focuses in these areas. It aims to operate as a platform for dialogue with the western creative production. It seeks to publish work that is curious, whimsical, and stormy: work that subverts expectations and might not fit in with the literary mainstream.

As a costume designer, fashion ​curator, author, photographer and journalist, ​Motwary will share ​some of the elements that make up his wonderful and diverse career, achievements and goals with acclaimed journalist Christina Skordi.

The lecture will be held in Greek and is open to the public.


20th & 21st Century Art songs Music of Jonathan Dove, Benjamin Britten and Roger Quilter

On the 5th of May, 2018, the Zampelas Art Museum presents a Voice and Piano Recital entitled “20th&21st Century Art songs” with Music of Jonathan Dove, Benjamin Britten and Roger Quilter. Myria Ioannou (soprano), Stelios Georgiou (tenor) and Plotinos Micromatis (piano) will be performing a wonderful collection of English Art songs of the 20th and 21st century, which are unknown to the Cyprus audience.  Music and Lyrics explore romantic, lustful and erotic desires.

Casual Exhibition Tour : Meeting the Artist

14, 21, 28.03 & 4, 11.04.18

Every Wednesday, during the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the artist. The transfer and installation of her studio into the museum space becomes the work of art itself with the main incentive of creating a dialogue.


Harp and String Quartet

Music at the Museum 2015 - 2016 continues with Harp and String Quartet, featuring Katerina Kitsou on harp accompanied by the Amiche String Quartet. The concert will coincide with the opening of
bicommunal ceramic art exhibition 'ξανά μαζί | terkrar birlikteyiz | together again'. A complementary tasting of commandaria will also be available to all as sponsored by the Cyprus Wine Museum.

The Loukia & Michael Zampelas Art Museum presents the Loizos Paphitis quintet on an evening where modern Art meets the “groovy” rhythm of the Jazz blues.


Unseen Views: Walk-in Tour

On the last day of the UNSEEN VIEWS periodical exhibition, Wednesday, 28 February 2018, at 6:30pm, the Zampelas Art Museum invites you to a walk-in tour with architect Haris Solomou and photographer Stelios Paphitis.

The architect will share his experiences and thoughts around the theme of Architectural Photography. Besides, the photographer Stelios Paphitis, discussing with the architect the intentions around the title of his exhibition, will comment on the exhibiting photographs, both in Cyprus and abroad.


Between the Folds: Documentary Screening

Loukia & Michael Zampelas Art Museum is screening GREEN FUSE FILMS' award–winning documentary Between the Folds which chronicles the stories of ten fine artists and intrepid theoretical scientists who have abandoned careers and scoffed at hard–earned graduate degrees—all to forge unconventional lives as modern–day paperfolders. 


Beyond the Ordinary: A Discussion with the Architects

Athos and Alkis Dikaios lead a talk which unfolds in three parts discussing the inspiration, influences and vision behind their work while exploring the relationship between Art and Architecture. The talk will take place at the Museum on Friday, 11th of October 2013, 19:00-20:00
